What happens during the server downtime? The servers will be shut down. During this time you cannot play Fortnite.
When does the server downtime in Fortnite start? The servers will go down on April 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM. A short time before that (about half an hour, around 09:30 AM), matchmaking will be disabled (source: x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the size of the update and the duration of the downtime. This is a larger update, so expect approximately one to three hours or more.
What do the patch notes say? There are still no official details on the upcoming patch notes. Should Epic Games share these, we will update this part.
