In Season 4 of Fortnite: Battle Royale there is a secret mission where you need to prevent dwarves from blowing up the whole map. By completing the tasks, you will be rewarded with a lot of experience points. We will show you how to solve them and all the locations.
What kind of challenge is this? In Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 2, in addition to the battle between Marvel superheroes and Galactus, there is currently a side story where the dwarves seem to be planning to blow up the map.
This mission is secret and not easy to find in the game. In Season 2 there was a similar questline, but back then the dwarves were waging war against the teddy bears.
How to complete the secret dwarf mission
The dwarf mission consists of 5 different tasks that you need to complete. After completing a phase, you will be rewarded with experience points. We will explain the individual steps to you.
1st Phase – Find the Dwarves
What do you need to do? First, you need to find a group of dwarves. The dwarves form a row, and at the front, there is one holding magazines. You need to hit this dwarf once with your pickaxe to complete the task.
You can find this small troop on the beach, behind Loki’s lighthouse, in grid field C1. Once you find them and hit the leader with the pickaxe, you will receive 20,000 XP.
2nd Phase – Find the Plan
What do you need to do? Now you need to search for the dwarf who has the overview map and is studying it. For this, you need to land at the old Shadow base, south of Weeping Woods.
There is an underground area where you could fall down and be attacked by lasers in Season 2. However, in Season 4, you are safe and can simply enter the underground. On the right side, you will see a vent that you can open, and behind it is the dwarves’ secret planning room.
Once you have entered the room, the first phase is complete, and you will receive 20,000 experience points for it.
3rd Phase – Defuse the Bombs
What do you need to do? In the 3rd part, you need to defuse the bombs that the dwarves have spread across the map. There are a total of 5 bombs, each located in different places.
Locations on the map:
In total, you will find one bomb at each of these 5 named locations:
- Steamy Stacks: At the back nuclear reactor
- Craggy Cliffs: Under the largest house (towards the cliffs)
- Sweaty Sands: Outside the tallest building
- Holly Hedges: At the garden center outside the shopping mall
- Misty Meadows: Under the bridge that is in the middle
At each location, you will find 2 dwarves and a Slurp bomb. Once you approach the bomb, you can defuse it through interaction. Once you have defused all 5, you will again receive 20,000 XP as a reward.
This task is reminiscent of the Batman challenges, where you had to rush through the map and defuse gas containers.
Important: The bombs cannot be defused in squad fight mode. So you will need to try your luck in solo, duo, or team matches. However, you can defuse the bombs in different matches.
4th Phase – Pay Your Last Respects to the Dwarf
What do you need to do? For the 5th phase, you need to visit the grave of a dwarf on the Fortnite map and pay your last respects there. The grave is located at Slurpy Swamp. We have summarized the exact location and how the task works in a guide:
For completing this task, you will receive an additional 20,000 experience points that will help you level up. This challenge is also quickly completed and you can even do it in the squad fight mode.
If you have completed all challenges from this quest line, you will have gathered a total of 90,000 experience points. That is a big boost that can help you for the next Battle Pass level. After all, you will be a little closer to the Marvel superhero skins from Season 4.
