Today’s update for Fortnite, on May 30, brings the shopping cart as the first vehicle to Fortnite: Battle Royale – and it’s even a two-seater. Additionally, a new feature comes: You can now see when challenges are progressing during a Battle Royale match.
The highlights of the patch notes 4.3 for Fortnite: Battle Royale
- There is a new item “Mushrooms,” which give 5 shield, up to a maximum of 100. You can find them where mushrooms usually grow: in the shade of forests or in swamp areas.
- The highlight is definitely the shopping carts – they are two-seaters! The passenger can shoot, while the other one has to push. But be careful: fall damage is active.
2 new limited-time modes for Fortnite: Battle Royale
- The new mode Blitz V2 comes with new weapons and items that have entered Fortnite since the mode first appeared. Now there are pocket forts and light machine guns. The bus flies lower, so everyone can jump into the action of Fortnite faster. There is more loot, but the storm approaches quickly.
- New mode Teams of 20 v2 – here, 5 teams of 20 players each compete against each other. Each team comes in its own bus and consists of 5 squads of 4 players each. There is more loot in the mode and six storm circles instead of nine.
- Shots to the upper chest and neck should no longer count as headshots.
- Additionally, there have been improvements to turbo building, as bugs have been fixed. It should now run smoother overall.

The highlights of the patch notes 4.3 for Fortnite “Save the World”
- In Save the World, the Blockbuster-questline is back. It continues with part 2 “A Hero is Born” – in the quest, you will be able to grab the “mythic soldier Carbide” – who even has his own subclass.
- More skill points: There are up to 64 new Commander points that can be awarded afterwards.
- On the last day of each month, Epic will put two free upgrade llamas in the store – you need to grab those.
- If players increase the difficulty of missions via BluGlo it now pays off more – you will get more gold.
- Also, new daily quests are coming, focusing mainly on eliminating husks with specific weapons – and Epic has made some daily challenges in Fortnite easier by reducing the number of required targets.
- Pocket forts and a new assault rifle are now coming to Save the World
- Voice chat is now active on PC and cross-platform.
