With the last patch 2.45, wedding packages were introduced to Final Fantasy XIV that players can book directly with Square Enix. These are also being actively used. However, one should be cautious.
A player is now sharing in the reddit forum about her dream wedding at the highest level Platinum. She is in a long-distance relationship with her boyfriend, so this was a “big deal” for her, as she writes.
Scandal: Priest continues with the ceremony
However, the wedding did not go as planned. The wedding guests were spamming “Holy abilities,” which completely disconnected her groom from FFXIV and also banned her from the game for a few minutes. The ceremony was conducted, and the bride and groom received their “You are now married” items. However, they did not get to see any cutscenes. The priest conducted the ceremony without the couple.
Later, they contacted customer support. However, that was disappointing. After all, they could conduct the ceremony a second time with donations from the guild, but by then the wedding mood was likely gone.
