Crimson Desert is a big hit on Steam and the PS5 . But since the open-world adventure had to be financed somehow, fans are now thanking the forgotten heroes behind the development.
Who are these forgotten heroes? The Reddit user and Crimson Desert fan TheForbiddenLands expresses a gratitude that he and over 1,700 other players feel is much needed: “Thank you to the players of Black Desert Online for funding Crimson Desert.”
Thank you to the players of Black Desert Online for funding Crimson Desert. […] Pearl Abyss has been showered with praise for all the updates, and rightly so, but I would also like to thank the generous and all players who bought things in BDO to fund Daeil Kim’s vision.
Thanks to MMO fans for the big hit
Which players are being thanked? The MMO from Pearl Abyss has reached a lot of players during its over 10-year lifespan who were (and still are) willing to invest their money in Black Desert. Among them is the player and Reddit user Senjian, who has also spent a lot of time in BDO before his 250 hours in Crimson Desert:
“I spent 100 € monthly on BDO over a period of seven years. […] I am glad they used the money to hire competent staff.”
And even though some players from the community would never personally invest such sums in an MMO, they still acknowledge: “You had to walk so we could run. Hats off!”
The message from many BDO players to Crimson Desert fans: a strong recommendation to give the MMORPG from Pearl Abyss a chance as well. And this recommendation works.
The author of the post has already shown a screenshot as proof that he has installed the game on his PS5.
