For the 3rd anniversary of Diablo 4, a fitting event is coming to the game. Players can farm plenty of experience and earn skins. However, the latter is not quite well received by the fans.
What kind of event is this? Even for the third anniversary of Diablo 4, Blizzard is bringing an event to the game that offers you limited-time events and skins from June 2 to June 9, 2026. You can look forward to the following:
- Blessing of the Mother
- Starting June 2 at 7:00 PM CEST, the Blessing of the Mother grants you increased experience points in seasonal and eternal realms.
- March of the Goblins
- With March of the Goblins, you face a whole horde of greedy goblins and fight your way through the new event.
- The reputation board returns: whoever reaches the highest rank receives the Garb of the Holy Creed as a reward.
Tips for the March of the Goblins can be found here:
- One weapon skin daily
- From June 1 at 9:00 PM CEST until June 6, you may secure a new gift in the game’s shop every day. You can pick them up until June 9.
- Day 1 – Blood Raven’s Claw (cosmetic item: one-handed sword)
- Day 2 – Kanai’s Last Stand (cosmetic item: shield)
- Day 3 – Nangari Cutter (cosmetic item: dagger)
- Day 4 – Ruler’s Odium (cosmetic item: two-handed axe)
- Day 5 – Flame Finger Claws (cosmetic item: glaive)
However, players on Reddit are discussing their dissatisfaction with the offered rewards.
“Oh God forbid you release some cool armor sets for the anniversary, right, Blizzard?”
Why is the community complaining? On Reddit, fans are discussing the new event. They are disappointed with the new event, primarily feeling underwhelmed. While other games “really deliver” on their anniversaries with exclusive armors, mounts, and companions, Blizzard is merely providing weapon skins, which the players view as part of a downward trend.
In the first year, there was a flashy mount along with armor (see Blizzard), and in the following year, players could only obtain a horse armor and trophies (see Blizzard). Fans especially seek a cool armor set for their characters, especially since Blizzard has maintained a somewhat absurd pricing agenda for a while now.
elggun sums up the community’s issue well: “Although I do like goblins and free weapons in the shop are nice, I can’t help but feel it wouldn’t hurt them to offer us a free anniversary transmog set once a year.” This sentiment is echoed by over 450 upvotes.
Vorstar92 also comments in the thread: “Oh God forbid you release some cool armor sets for the anniversary, right, Blizzard? It’s always just weapon skins. A joke.” Others suggest simply bringing back old transmog sets from past seasons and making them obtainable once again.
So, if you want to look particularly fancy in Diablo 4, you usually have to dig deep into your pockets. However, the community shows with the new warlock that it is also possible to stroll stylishly through Sanctuary without spending money: Blizzard is currently selling absurdly expensive skins for Diablo 4, but you don’t have to pay anything to look really good
