For the 3rd anniversary of Diablo 4, a fitting event enters the game. Players can farm heaps of experience and snag skins. However, the latter are not well-received by the fans.
What kind of event is it? Even for the third anniversary of Diablo 4, Blizzard brings an event into the game that offers limited-time events and skins from June 2nd to June 9th, 2026. Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Mother’s Blessing
- Starting June 2nd at 7:00 PM CEST, Mother’s Blessing will grant you increased experience points in seasonal and eternal realms.
- March of the Goblins
- With March of the Goblins, you will face an entire horde of greedy goblins and battle through the new event.
- Additionally, the Honor Board returns: whoever reaches the highest rank receives the Vestment of the Holy Creed as a reward.
- One weapon skin daily
- From June 1st at 9:00 PM CEST until June 6th, you can secure a new gift every day in the in-game shop. You can pick them up until June 9th.
- Day 1 – Claw of the Blood Raven (cosmetic item: one-handed sword)
- Day 2 – Kanai’s Last Resistance (cosmetic item: shield)
- Day 3 – Nangari-Cutter (cosmetic item: dagger)
- Day 4 – Ruler’s Odium (cosmetic item: two-handed axe)
- Day 5 – Flamefinger Claws (cosmetic item: glaive)
However, on Reddit, players are discussing their dissatisfaction with the offered rewards.
“Oh God forbid, that you release some cool armor sets for the anniversary, right, Blizzard?”
Why is the community upset? On Reddit, fans are discussing the new event. They are primarily underwhelmed by it. While other games celebrate their anniversaries with exclusive armors, mounts, and companions, Blizzard only delivers weapon skins, following a downward trend in the view of the players.
In the first year, there was still a fancy mount with an armor set (see Blizzard), while players could only obtain a horse armor set with trophies in the following year (see Blizzard). Meanwhile, fans are especially longing for a cool armor set for their characters, particularly because Blizzard has been displaying a partly absurd pricing agenda for some time now.
elggun summarizes the community’s problem well: “Although I like goblins and free weapons in the shop are nice, I can’t help but think it wouldn’t hurt them to offer us a free anniversary transmog set once a year.” This sentiment is echoed by over 450 upvotes.
Therefore, Vorstar92 also writes in the comments of the thread: “Oh God forbid, that you release some cool armor sets for the anniversary, right, Blizzard? It’s always just weapon skins. A joke.” Others suggest simply bringing back old transmog sets from previous seasons and making them available to earn again.
Anyone looking to look particularly fancy in Diablo 4 will usually have to dig deep into their pockets. However, the community shows especially with the new Wizard that it is also possible to stroll through Sanctuary fashionably without spending money: Blizzard is currently selling absurdly expensive skins for Diablo 4, but to look really good, you don’t have to pay anything
