Diablo 4: Endgame Content Power Ranking – These War Plan activities are worth your time

Diablo 4 Kriegspläne mit Alexandra titel

With Lord of Hatred, Diablo 4 has received a completely new endgame, and suddenly all features are somehow useful. But where can you get the most out of it in a short time? MeinMMO ranks the best activities for you.

With War Plans, you can assemble your endgame yourself and even decide what special features each activity brings. Blizzard has overhauled all endgame content for this purpose.

While in theory you can achieve everything (almost) everywhere, not all activities are equally rewarding – especially when you have little time. It is frustrating to get stuck in dungeon runs that ultimately yield nothing.

Therefore, MeinMMO has rated all available activities in the power ranking according to:

  • how accessible they are and how much “skill” they require
  • how long they take
  • and what rewards can be obtained in the end.

Feel free to let us know in the comments if you would rank the activities differently here.

A general tip beforehand: When planning your war plan, you can already see which rewards await, with the classic rarity levels (blue, yellow, orange).

You will also find in our Tier List the best builds in the current Season 13 of Diablo 4.

Rank 6: Hell Hordes

By far, the Hell Hordes are in last place. They are not worth your time in most cases because they take a long time, and the possible rewards are highly dependent on luck— even with the right perks.

The only “advantage” that the hordes have over other activities is their guaranteed payout of large amounts of Obsidium and gold. However, you can get both in abundance “on the side” and if you do not have an acute shortage, avoid the hordes.

However, if you enjoy the content so much that you don’t want to miss out, the left path (blue) is the best, as you can at least somewhat improve the meager yield here.

Rank 5: Hoard Bosses

While they are in 5th place here, they are still well ahead of the Hell Hordes: the Hoard Bosses – enemies like the Beast in Ice, the Butcher, and Andariel. In theory, you can easily snag powerful loot here, but only at high terror levels (ideally 10 and above).

Here you can find out which boss you can farm specific items from.

In relatively short time, you can specifically farm items you still need for your build here. The fact that the bosses still rank so low has three reasons:

  • You need keys to open the chests and must have these first.
  • Boses require either absurdly strong builds or a lot of mechanical skill to master their mechanics.
  • Loot potential is maximal only with a group.

Hoard bosses rise in the ranking as you become stronger yourself. If you can easily mow down enemies or have pure boss killer builds, the bosses are more suitable as activities that we rate higher here.

For the talent tree, the middle path (yellow) is the best. Here you need luck for additional spawns, but you also get significantly more loot without having to use more keys. Alternatively, you can skill a bit in the right path (green) if you want to take down boss enemies alongside in the Hell Flows.
