With Lord of Hatred, Diablo 4 has received new items and features. One of them, the Talisman, comes with big bonuses. These are also necessary, says the community.
The Talisman is a central feature of Lord of Hatred and provides you with additional slots for effects – such as set bonuses or unique affixes. You create the Talisman yourself from a central seal and surrounding spells.
Seals provide additional bonuses when the requirements are met. This usually means: a corresponding set is equipped. On the Diablo 4 subreddit, various users are now posting one of their seals that grants +900% or more “gold find bonus”, with comments like: “Horadric Seal of Bezos” (on Reddit).
Even the new torment levels grant +300% more gold starting at level 10. Whether the value of the seal is additive or multiplicative is still a topic of debate among users, but they all agree on one thing: it doesn’t make a big difference. You’ll have to grind a lot anyway.
Diablo 4 gives you more gold than ever before, but also devours vast sums
For selling the seals alone, there’s up to 11 million gold or more starting from a certain level. However, the amount of gold is also necessary. Traditionally, just rolling affixes at the occultist is exorbitantly expensive with costs far exceeding 100 million gold in previous seasons.
Now, in Season 13 and with Lord of Hatred, additional features like war plans are added, where you’ll have to dig deep into your pockets to change the distributed skill points. Also, replacing a single weapon and re-hardening and finishing it is said to be expensive. Thus, several tens of millions of gold disappear quickly (according to Reddit).
The gold cap is around 100 billion gold per character.
Some veterans feel reminded of Diablo 3 with the seal (on Reddit). There were legendary gems with similar effects and entire builds centered around gold. Anyway, Diablo 4 feels more like Diablo 3 right now, especially concerning the absurd buff numbers, which is not a bad thing.
However, users generally advise against gambling at the occultist. This is an inefficient way to get better equipment with Lord of Hatred. It’s better to create items yourself purposefully with the Horadric Cube: The Horadric Cube in Diablo 4 can do more than many know and helps with farming the best items in the game.
