Lodi
Lodi was introduced in Destiny after The Final Shape with the Edge of Fate expansion and has become a central figure in the plot. He is the voice of The Nine as Orin’s successor.
In The Edge of Fate, Lodi is significantly involved in stopping the machinations of Maya Sundaresh (alias The Conductor). At the death of 3, a member of The Nine, the dying entity transmitted the prophecy to him that extinction could only be prevented by binding The Nine. Subsequently, Lodi joined the Vagabond’s crew to uncover The Nine’s connection to the Barat Empire. During this, Lodi discovered a way to bind The Nine to mortal bodies.
In Monument of Triumph, Lodi again becomes the voice, but this time not for The Nine, but for an unknown voice that announces a devastating end-time battle in conversation with the Guardian. The voice suggests that it is a powerful entity and the reason The Nine need the Guardian as a weapon. Speculation suggests that this voice could be the Winnower.
