In the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, there is a gorilla that seems to be frozen in the world. Players are repeatedly drawn to it and take selfies in front of the animal. But why?
What’s going on? Near Strawberry, you will find a large, broken crate on the tracks with a gorilla standing inside. However, the animal looks fake, as if it’s frozen. But there’s no explanation for the animal. There’s no quest that suddenly starts. There’s no sign hinting at anything either.
More and more players are seeking explanation from the community. Many of them are also taking selfies with the gorilla.
Confused players take selfies with gorilla
In the selfie by reddit user igpajo49, it looks like the gorilla is about to beat up Arthur. Arthur himself stares harshly into the camera and appears dissatisfied with the situation. He writes, “I found the gorilla today. Is there a story behind this?”
A different mood is spread by the photo from swbeaman. He writes, “These days, everyone stops Arthur and asks for a selfie…”. He apparently couldn’t refuse the request and took a photo with the gorilla.
Reddit user buttered_peanuts also asks people: “Whose gorilla is this?” In his selfie, Arthur looks completely unfazed. He calmly lights a cigarette in front of the gorilla.
The questions on reddit date back to shortly after the release of RDR 2 and are still being asked even now. Players just can’t stop taking selfies with the animal, sharing them, and asking what it is with the gorilla.
