With the Battle Pass, Call of Duty wants to reward you for playing for a long time during a season, and the new Season 6 also brings a pass. We’ll show you what content you can expect for Black Ops Cold War and Battle Royale Warzone and what the new weapons have to offer on MeinMMO.
What is the Battle Pass? Call of Duty offers you a large amount of cosmetics in every season that you can unlock through the so-called Battle Pass. In exchange for game time and 1,000 CoD-Points (about 10,- €), you have the chance to obtain over 100 items – from weapons, to skins, to XP tokens.
There is also a free path that gives you some of the items, even if you don’t want to spend the 1,000 CoD-Points. This includes, for example, the 2 new weapons. You can find out what Season 6 includes in the Battle Pass and what features the new weapons offer here.
We are embedding the trailer for the Battle Pass here:
2 new weapons as a gameplay highlight in the Battle Pass
What kind of weapons are these? With Season 6, there is a new shotgun and the 10th assault rifle from the Black Ops Cold War arsenal:
- .410 Ironhide – Shotgun at level 15
- Grav – Assault rifle at level 31
What can the .410 Ironhide do? The new shotgun reportedly takes out enemies in 2 shots according to the developers’ blog on Season 6 and can even be a one-shot kill at extremely short ranges. It remains to be seen how strong that will be in matches.
Solutions like the Marshal in Akimbo, the JAK-12, or the Gallo 12 are already very strong in their melee niche. Let’s see how the .410 can fit into this meta.
As a bonus, the .410 offers two unique grip attachments that can increase your fire rate or reload speed.
What can the Grav do? The assault rifle is likely to be significantly more interesting than the shotgun. Weapons in this popular class usually have the potential to shake up the meta. The Grav is expected to engage in the meta battle of assault rifles for medium and long ranges.
The new assault rifle comes with a similar fire rate as the Groza (about 750 shots/minute) and the highest bullet speed in its weapon class. Additionally, the Grav offers a ammunition conversion that deals more damage but also reduces the fire rate. The recoil of the rapid-fire version is pretty strong but very vertical:
Whether the fast-firing or slow-firing version of the weapon can prevail in Warzone will be revealed soon on MeinMMO. You can find out more about weapons in Warzone here:
Battle Pass stuffed with cosmetics again
What else does the Battle Pass bring? If you buy the Battle Pass for 1,000 CoD-Points, you immediately receive the legendary “Black Ops” operator Alex Mason with the “Alaska” skin right at the start. Overall, you can unlock more than 10 operator skins through the Battle Pass – including an ultra-reactive skin for Mason at level 100.
If you buy the “Battle Pass” bundle for 2,400 CoD-Points, you will receive 20 tier jumps and 3 dark panda skins for the operator “Bulldozer”:
Overall, some contents in Season 6 seem to reflect the current theme of “horror circus”. The Halloween month has begun, and you can see that in the Battle Pass as well. Throughout Season 6, a Halloween event will also take place.
You can also find 20 weapon blueprints scattered throughout the entire Battle Pass, which allow you to beautify your firearms according to your taste. In line with the horror circus theme, for example, there is a colorful skin for the MP5 from Cold War:
If you are a frequent player, you should definitely get the Battle Pass. Throughout the 100 tiers, you can earn a total of 1,300 CoD-Points and even earn 300 points.
This works retroactively as well. So if you’re not sure whether you’ll be playing much in CoD during Season 6, you can first play without the pass. At the latest by level 80, you can then buy the pass and get your investment back directly into your CoD-Points account.
If you want to see all the items in the Battle Pass, we will embed a short video here:
What else does Season 6 bring? For Cold War, the new Season 6 brings a large, classic Zombie map and a total of 3 new multiplayer maps. Zombie players, in particular, can look forward to experiencing the conclusion of the current Dark Aether story. Season 6 is also the final season of Cold War – the new CoD: Vanguard will be released on November 5.
Also in Warzone, there is a kind of conclusion. The large map Verdansk is entering its last season before the “merger” with the new Vanguard. The battle royale will then get a new map, the Vanguard engine, and with the transition, it will provide a whole new experience.
