In August, Activision invites you again to the beta of Call of Duty to get your first look at Modern Warfare 4. You will have 19 different weapons and game modes like Search & Destroy, Kill Block or 3v3 Skirmish available for testing.
The beta itself is divided again into two weekends: one for all pre-order players of MW4 and a second weekend with the open beta, which everyone can participate in for free.
First Weekend: August 21 to August 25, 2026
The Early Access Beta: The first weekend is available to all players who pre-ordered Modern Warfare 4 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC Battle.net, Xbox on PC or Steam. It starts on Friday, August 21 and ends on Tuesday, August 25.
Do you need a beta access code if you pre-order digitally? No, if you pre-ordered Modern Warfare 4 digitally, you do not need an access code, says Activision. You are automatically registered for the Early Access Beta.
Second Weekend: September 6 to September 9, 2026
The Open Beta: The second beta weekend is open to all players on all platforms (Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC Battle.net, Xbox on PC or Steam) and begins on Friday, August 28, at approximately 19:00 German time, and ends on Tuesday, September 1.
