In Path of Exile 2, two players wanted to meet for a trade, but it ended because one of them was shouted at meanly. Now the community stepped in to sweeten the day for the poor guy.
What went wrong? Reddit user N8-97 shared his failed trade with user Imagineddy. A bot interrupted them, promoting an external site for resources and other services for PoE2.
Annoyed by the bot, N8-97 wrote to it to go away. A second message saying “Shut up” was also meant for the bot, but in a fit of rage, it was sent to his trading partner.
Clearly hurt, Imagineddy then wrote “Sorry…….” in the chat and disappeared before N8-97 could explain himself. The Reddit user felt bad and therefore searched for Imagineddy on Reddit to even give him the trade item for free. However, the community did not want to leave N8-97 alone and even wanted to help with the compensation.
Community showers gifts
How did the community react? The community wanted to help and therefore made various offers on Reddit to shower Imagineddy with gifts:
- RoyalDevilzz would even give Eddy 5 Exalted Orbs if he showed up.
- Astraiks even offers a Divine Orb on top, while Dry_Finance_2555 would double Astraiks’ offer.
- Chilidogdingdong would also throw in 5 Exalted Orbs just so Eddy wouldn’t feel bad.
Did Imagineddy show up? As luck would have it, Eddy actually appeared in the Reddit thread and thanked the many players who were willing to help him. He explained the situation, saying he went offline so quickly, as follows:
Hello, u/N8-97, Imagineddy here! Thank you for the kindness and the offer!! I’m so sorry I logged off before your apology message came through – I was looking for a few things at the last minute before I logged out for work – I promise it wasn’t your message that made me leave!!!
And to all the other Redditors – this thread literally made my day, so thank you for the good vibes and kindness, especially to the people who sent me a message in-game and offered eggs! This community is truly the best <3

An offer of two Divine Orbs was even accepted by Eddy, but he also made it clear to the community that it was enough. He couldn’t accept countless gifts and items from other players due to a misunderstanding. However, he is very grateful for the willingness of the players to help.
In the end, he celebrates the community and says it’s worth playing through to the endgame for this. This is one of the most helpful communities out there.
