Naruto has had two children with Hinata: Boruto and Himawari. While a complete manga was named after his son, Himawari is relatively rarely seen. However, this could change with the upcoming chapters, as she has gigantic potential.
Beware, you are entering a spoiler minefield! In the following article, we will discuss the events from the current chapters. We also have to address the fate of the Nine-Tails and Naruto.
What kind of potential does Himawari have? Boruto: Two Blue Vortex tells the story after a three-year time skip. The story suddenly takes a much more serious turn, which has increased the manga’s popularity.
Both Boruto and his little sister Himawari have suddenly become much more mature. And it seems that not only their appearance has changed: Himawari possesses incredible power that has now come to light.
Even Naruto and Sasuke had significant appearances in Boruto, as the following video demonstrates:
She is in possession of the chakra of the Nine-Tails. Jura and Hidari came to Konoha to search for Naruto. In doing so, they sensed the chakra of the fox spirit, which is actually called Kurama. They suspected they had found Naruto – instead, they only found Himawari.
After a fierce battle, Kurama suddenly appears before Himawari and speaks with her. Since only she can see Kurama, it means that the fox spirit lives within Himawari.
You can see Kurama’s appearance in the following tweet from it_scandy54234:
Himawari could become the strongest ninja in Naruto
What does this mean for her abilities? Kurama’s chakra grants special techniques like the Baryon mode. Furthermore, the bearer of the fox spirit receives an almost unlimited supply of chakra.
Through the Naruto anime and manga, we know how powerful Naruto was just with Kurama’s chakra. Himawari also possesses the abilities of her mother Hinata. These include:
- The Byakugan, which allows chakra to be seen and tracked. Additionally, the user gains an almost 360° field of vision.
- An extraordinarily strong Tai-Jutsu. Himawari has learned the body-focused techniques not only from her mother Hinata but also from her aunt Hanabi.
The combination of Naruto’s and Hinata’s abilities could make Himawari one of the strongest kunoichi, perhaps even the strongest ninja overall. So we can look forward to seeing even more of Himawari and her abilities.
Why is Kurama’s chakra even in Himawari? Naruto used the Baryon mode in the past, during which Kurama’s chakra was converted into another form of energy. This resulted in the chakra being completely used up, and it appeared as if Kurama had died permanently.
Actually, Bijuus can regenerate. The only exception is when their life energy is depleted, which was the case in the Baryon mode. The Nine-Tails told Naruto that he could no longer use the chakra and techniques of the Nine-Tails.
A remnant of Kurama’s chakra resides in Himawari. This means that the fox spirit could be resurrected after his death. How Himawari came to possess the chakra is not clarified in the manga. Perhaps she has held the chakra within her since birth or Naruto has unknowingly transferred his powers to his daughter in some other way.
Either way, we can look forward to exciting battles and more time with Himawari. In Naruto, there were many other fights that MeinMMO author Niko Hernes has listed in a special: The 7 most legendary fights in Naruto
