The NCSoft officials have revealed the planned servers for the early access of Aion 2 on September 30, 2026. MeinMMO tells you what you need to know about the European worlds.
Which EU servers are there? For the early access launch on September 30, 2026, NCSoft will provide a total of 8 European servers, 4 each for the factions Elyos and Asmodians. Two servers will always form a pair that is linked together:
| Elyos – EU Server | Asmodians – EU Server |
| Siel | Israphel |
| Nezekan | Zikel |
| Vaizel | Triniel |
| Kaisinel | Lumiel |
Why the server pairs? In Aion 2, the Elyos and Asmodians play on separate servers. However, you will have the opportunity to challenge the players of the opposing faction through space-time rifts or battles in the Abyss. There, you will encounter players from the enemy faction who come from the linked server. For example, if you play on Siel, you will meet opponents from Israphel, and so on.
According to NCSoft, these pairs are not set in stone forever. If it helps with balance, the developers would like to make adjustments to the server pairs in the future.
Which servers are the big streamers on? It seems that many streamers will focus on the server pairing Siel/Israphel, as confirmed by YouTuber Grobs in his stream on YouTube on September 29. However, we will probably only find out for sure after the early access launch.
Launch Servers, Matchmaking, Marketplace
What about the final release? A second wave of launch servers will follow for the official launch. Free2Play players who want to start at the global launch can freely choose between the early access and launch servers. However, if a server reaches a certain population density, the developers may restrict the creation of new characters there.
Are server transfers possible? The developers want to wait for the early access and launch phases first and then evaluate in what form server transfers may be necessary. They want to prevent players who are much further ahead from negatively impacting the gaming experience of others.
How does matchmaking work? In PvE, Aion relies on a region-internal but faction-crossing system.
- The so-called “Dungeon Party Matching” brings together players from all active servers in a region (for us, that means: Europe). During the early access, this will only include the early access servers. From the global launch, those with founder packs in the dungeons will also encounter Free2Play players. In addition, you can fight alongside the traditionally opposing faction in PvE.
- If you and your friends are playing on different servers, you can still add each other to your friends list and sign up as a group for a dungeon together.
How does the market work? Aion 2 is set to have two different markets through which you can trade with other players:
- Server Market: Here you trade with players on your server. This market is already available for early access and trades with the currency Kinah. However, you can also obtain Kinah through the real money premium currency Quna.
- Cross-Server Market: Here, players from all servers in a region (for us, that means: Europe) come together to buy or sell. This market is neither available during early access nor directly at launch, but is planned to open at a later time. This way, the developers want to ensure that early access players do not negatively impact the economy of the launch servers.
Note that trading through the market will only be possible if you invest money in the optional subscription of Aion 2.
Do you already know which server you want to play on? And which faction will you join? Please let us know in the comments. Keep in mind that the choice between Asmodians and Elyos can be quite decisive. You can find all information about it here: Aion 2 Factions: Elyos or Asmodians, which side should I choose?
