The developers of Escape from Tarkov have released a video that reveals the release time of the extraction shooter – what is missing are the contents.
When will Escape from Tarkov be released? Since Escape from Tarkov entered Early Access in 2017, players have been treated to many updates, new weapons, new maps, and many revised systems. The Early Access has lasted so long that some might have thought that the extraction shooter would never be “finished”.
In a new video, however, the developers have confirmed the final release date. Escape from Tarkov will be released on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Instead of a trailer, the developers presented a live-action video featuring real actors and the head of the studio.

What does the trailer show? The live-action trailer features the head of Escape from Tarkov working on his programming in the office. Scenes of fighting factions of the extraction shooter are shown repeatedly, but these are portrayed by actors and do not show any in-game scenes.
Even the sentences that the developer types into his computer seem to revolve solely around the story and do not announce any new features:
- 11.07.2008 City of Tarkov, military base of the Federal Reserve.
- The city of Targard retains a certain autonomy from the capital. The surrounding area …
- The latter are connected with wealthy newcomers …
- A blinding blue flash breaks out …
What changes with version 1.0? This question is currently difficult to answer. The developers of Escape from Tarkov have pursued the vision of uniting all individual raids of the game into a large, open world throughout development. However, it is unlikely that this will happen with the release of the full version.
What is expected is that the last outstanding map “Terminal” will come with the full version. The areas “Suburbs” and “Town” have already been cut during development and will probably not be released.
So far, Escape from Tarkov could only be played through its own launcher. However, with the full version, the developers might also make the game available on Steam. In the past, the developers confirmed that a Steam release would happen. However, Escape from Tarkov cannot yet be found there. Recently, it was also stated that this could also be possible after the release.
Although now there is finally a release date for the extraction shooter on November 15, 2025, many questions remain unanswered. Which features will actually come with the full version is still pending. Anyone who finds the shooter not hard enough surely got their money’s worth at the last event: Escape from Tarkov is considered a game for absolute hardcore enthusiasts, but the latest patch is too tough even for them
