The streaming platform Twitch often feels like a pretty male-dominated space. In 2022, American Kaitlyn Siragusa, known as Amouranth, was temporarily the only woman in the top 100. But now, German streamer Isabell “HoneyPuu” Schneider (23) is giving her competition.
What exactly did HoneyPuu achieve? As was announced on Twitter on January 24th, HoneyPuu is the most-watched female streamer in the last 7 days – globally.
How is this measured? HoneyPuu is number 1 among female streamers in terms of watch time, or hours watched. This value indicates how many hours viewers have spent in total watching the streams.
The 23-year-old recorded over 350,000 hours watched last week, equivalent to more than 14,500 days.
Hard work pays off
What does that mean? Watch time is one of the most useful criteria for measuring the current success of streamers.
Hard work is rewarded here: someone who streams a lot with a medium-sized audience often ends up with more watched hours than someone who has tens of thousands of viewers but hardly goes live.
Amouranth is known for her “grind”: she streamed almost every day for several hours for a long time. However, since her separation from her husband, she wants to take it a bit easier.
One of the biggest German streamers, Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris, streams relatively little, but often has around 30,000 viewers tuning in when he goes live.
What about HoneyPuu? The streamer is currently fully immersed in Minecraft fever. She spent over 46 hours – which is more than the equivalent of a normal full-time job – in the block game over the past 7 days. On average, nearly 8,000 people watched her.
Now her hard work is rewarded with a rank of 99 among the most-watched streamers overall.

How are the reactions? They are quite positive. Many fans of the 23-year-old congratulate her on Twitter. Even Antonia “Reved” Staab, who is usually considered the biggest German streamer, congratulates her colleague:

What do people like about HoneyPuu? Many Twitter users call the streamer’s ranking “deserved”. Again and again, comparisons to Amouranth arise: particularly positively noted is that the 23-year-old has mainly succeeded through gaming, unlike her American colleague.
And her personality is also well-received: HoneyPuu is described as humorous and ambitious. “With skill and wit to rank 1!” writes one Twitter user (via Twitter).
After HoneyPuu has been live so much in the past 2 weeks, it seems she is currently taking a little break. Her last stream was 3 days ago – all the more remarkable that she is doing so well even with a 2-day streaming break in the last 7 days.
