What makes Watch Dogs so special? Watch Dogs, and especially the second part of the series, is considered Ubisoft’s attempt to replicate the success of GTA 5. The second installment offers many open-world activities such as graffiti spraying, e-kart racing, and gang fights similar to those in GTA San Andreas.
The game world itself feels alive, colorful, and especially sunny, at least in the second part. The rainy London, on the other hand, sets different accents.
A real standout feature of Watch Dogs is the multiplayer. In our world, uninvited guests often appear, acting as either friendly or hostile hackers, making the world feel even more alive.
While you roam freely through the world, a message may suddenly pop up saying you have been hacked. Now you must find the hacker before they can steal your data and disappear with it.
It gets interesting when the hostile hacker complicates the search with hacks, for example, by sabotaging other cars and causing traffic chaos. When we recently tested the second part of the series, we had no trouble finding other hackers.
What other multiplayer modes are there? That somewhat depends on which part of the series you’re talking about. The hacking features are present in every part. There are also PvP battles with weapons in Watch Dogs. Some of the campaign missions can even be played with a friend, although there isn’t a real co-op mode where you can do everything together.
Why is this game suitable for fans of GTA? Watch Dogs can be played well with friends and is worth it for anyone tired of waiting for GTA 6. The vibrant open world and the refreshing content and ideas that Ubisoft has packed into the series provide entertainment beyond the campaigns, and the multiplayer also stands out. The necessary chaos in the open world is also present.
