Season of the Awakened Death
Note: This patch will be released for consoles on July 17, so crossplay will be disabled until then. Once the patch for consoles is released, crossplay will be activated again.
Updates
- The restriction of “a crafted mythic” equipment piece to mythic items has been lifted.
- Developer Note: In the Horadric Cube of S15, we are removing crafting mythic rerolls and adding a direct upgrade to Mythic that maintains the original unique item. We will evaluate whether to reintroduce this regulation solely for this specific crafting path.
- The drop rates of mythic and iconic unique items from the Corrupted Soul Reaper have been increased.
Bug Fixes
- The ability to add the mythic modifier to unique spells & seals in the cube has been removed.
- Developer Note: This was not an intended feature for S14 and an unintended side effect of another bug fix.
Season of the Awakened Death – Changes and Next Steps
“We have heard your feedback on the Season of the Awakening of Death, including the drop rates for mythic unique items, equipment limits, and more.
In a patch that will be released today, we are increasing the drop rate for Mythics in the boss fight against the Corrupted Soul Reaper and removing the equipment limits for mythic Uniques. Additionally, in a patch that will come next week, we will add superior hideout keys to the repeatable chest ‘Glimmer of Hope’ and increase the drop rates for mythic tributes in the Undercity.
Seasons are where we experiment with new ideas and steer Diablo 4 in new directions. Not every idea ignites exactly as planned, but we will continue to listen to your feedback, address what is not working, and apply these lessons to future seasonal updates.
As always, we will keep you updated as soon as we have more to report about the future of Mythics!” – Dan Tanguay, Design Director for Live Service, via Community Manager Marcoose in the Blizzard Forum.
Whether the latest updates will resolve the issues with the “Mythics 3.0” system remains to be seen.
