Book Collections for Lore Fans
World of Warcraft is full of story. Not only in quests and cinematics is the game’s story told, but also in books that can be found throughout the game world since the vanilla times.
A large part of the essential lore – such as who the Burning Legion is, how the Orcs came to Azeroth, or what the deal is with the Dwarves – can be read in books that can be found in the game world.
The problem: The books are spread all over the world. It is only possible to read a specific book if you use addons that have recorded all the books.
Blizzard seems to be working on a new collection feature here. Because a document was found on the PTR of Patch 12.1 that has the use text: “Add this document to your book collection.”
WoW players know: Such a book collection does not exist yet. It seems to be a new feature currently in development.
Since WoW has repeatedly been accused – and rightly so – that the existing story is difficult to follow, this should at least bring a little relief to all those interested in the lore.
