Three years ago, Riot launched the Hall of Legends, a Hall of Fame for the best players in League of Legends. After Faker and Uzi, a European player will be honored, who has been the greatest hope of the West with his team for years.
Which player is entering the Hall of Legends? As announced by Riot on 16.08.2026 (via x.com), Rasmus Borregaard Winther, better known as Caps
, will be the next player for the Hall of Legends. Thus, he follows Faker, who was the first player in 2024, and Uzi, who followed in 2025.
As with his predecessors, Midlaner Caps will also receive a special premium skin (Immortalized Legend) with a corresponding price (previous skins cost €430). It has not yet been officially confirmed which champion has been chosen for this skin. According to @LeagueOfLeaks (via x.com), it could be Tristana.
Although Europe has never had the status of South Korea, Caps is considered a beacon of hope for the West every year with the team G2.

The Best Player in Europe
Who is Caps actually? Already in the trailer, Caps is called the best Western player of all time
. This reflects his career. In January 2015, he started his professional career with the team Enigma Esports when he was just 15 years old.
At just 17 years old, in December 2016, he then stepped onto the big LEC stage with the team Fnatic. He joined G2, the team he still plays for today, in 2018. In the European league, he regularly shows with his team how good they are.
Recently, G2 won the LEC 2026 Spring Playoffs, but that is only one of many achievements in the last few years at the LEC. One of G2’s greatest achievements was the Worlds 2019. There, they reached the finals after defeating Faker and T1 in the semifinals. Although they were defeated by the Chinese team FPX, G2 demonstrated that the West should also be considered in LoL esports.
In 2018, Caps, along with the team Fnatic, reached the Worlds finals, but even then, they were defeated. He and Uzi are the only non-Korean players to have reached the Worlds finals twice in a row. Although Caps has not achieved that since, every year, he is still seen as Europe’s great hope for the world championship title with his team.
