The YouTuber Sean “jacksepticeye” McLoughlin is hosting his charity event for Christmas again this year, but this time a bit different. He wants to start the campaign early to achieve the high fundraising goal of 3 million US dollars.

, initiated by the Irish YouTuber jacksepticeye. He typically hosts this event during the Christmas season in December, where he holds a stream for the community to donate generously.
However, this year it starts in July and has been renamed Wishmas
, and already donations can be made in the months leading up to Christmas.
In a YouTube video, jacksepticeye announced the campaign and referred to the Wishmas website, which lists all the information about the charity event. Content creators can sign up to participate in the campaign. Similar to the charity event of the German streamer Metashi12, content creators can collect their own donations with their community and then contribute to the main fund of Wishmas.

How are wishes fulfilled? Wishmas takes place – just like in previous years – in cooperation with the Make-A-Wish charity organization. The organization fulfills wishes for children who are affected by life-threatening illnesses. This can be very different: a trip to Disneyland or spending a day as a firefighter.
This year, jacksepticeye has set a big goal. He wants to fulfill 300 wishes with Wishmas and raise 3 million US dollars – approximately 2,628,600.00 euros – since one wish costs 10,000 US dollars. As of now (status: 23.07.2026 at 11:00 AM), 52,730.11 US dollars – approximately 46,211.09 euros – have already been raised, fulfilling 5 wishes.

The campaign stands, according to jacksepticeye, as a sign against the cynicism on the internet. The YouTuber believes that social media has become extremely negative, angry, and tense. Thus, there is no real room for nuance anymore, rather there are often only extremes. In these times, he wants to provide a counterbalance with Wishmas and show that good can also come from the internet.
