Another hint suggests that the Vulpera will become an allied race in World of Warcraft.
In recent months, there have been various small hints and indications in the game data that the Vulpera from World of Warcraft could one day become an allied race. This would allow players to step into the fur of these fox-like beings. A new hint in the game files supports this suspicion.
What was found? In some lines of code necessary for cinematics, a hint about the Vulpera was found. This code was already added with Patch 8.1, simultaneously with the Kul Tirans under the entry “Allied Races” – that is, allied races. This suggests that Blizzard planned for the Vulpera as a race to also appear in the cutscene where players receive the Heart of Azeroth. This only makes sense if the Vulpera are also a playable race!
What further hints are there? In the past, there have already been small mishaps and hints that point to the Vulpera as a playable race. For instance, the Vulpera received their own icon for the Brewfest, which is something only other allied races received. The Vulpera also have particularly many customizations, making them especially suitable as an allied race.
Overall, there are increasingly more small pieces of information pointing to the Vulpera as an allied race. However, until Blizzard officially confirms this, it remains uncertain. It is also possible that the developers simply want to keep this option open and may only bring it in the future.
