Blizzard thanks the creator of DeadlyBossMods, a popular addon for World of Warcraft. Three big packages were waiting for the creator of DBM, who was in need.
Recently, we reported that Mystical OS, the author of the WoW addon Deadly Boss Mods, received great help from the community after he opened up about his life. He has health issues, has to care for his mother, and works entirely alone on the addon, which fills his daily life completely. Now, there was also a gift from Blizzard.
Gaming PC with accessories: MysticalOS showed some photos of a delivery he received. In total, there were three big packages from Blizzard and MSI that are sure to make any gamer’s heart race.
He is now the proud owner of a new high-end PC with plenty of peripherals (keyboard, headset, monitor). Blizzard also included a Collector’s Edition of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth and had it signed by many developers – this should significantly increase its collector’s value.
Thank-you letter from Blizzard: A letter from the Warcraft team was included with the packages, which says, among other things:
“MSI and we want to thank you for all the hard work you have put into DeadlyBossMods over the years, but also for your passion in helping raid players and the WoW community in general. You have lowered the entry barrier of difficult bosses for many players, and we love the enthusiasm you bring to it. We hope this small token of our appreciation takes some stress off your shoulders.”
A story with a happy ending: MysticalOS is now likely doing better financially as well. After revealing his story, the number of his supporters on Patreon, a site where people can financially support artists, has drastically increased. From previously 500 supporters, it has now risen to 3,000 who donate a small amount to him monthly.
DeadlyBossMods was also one of our 9 addons that every WoW player should have.
Let’s hope that life for MysticalOS returns to normal – after all, he has now received the recognition he deserves.
What do you think of this gesture from Blizzard? A cool thing or a clear case of “too little, too late”?
