WoW Forever: Release – The important information at a glance
When do the servers of WoW Forever open? The servers are expected to open on November 5, 2026, at exactly 12:00 AM CET here in Europe. We will keep an eye out for any delays or issues.
What is the download size and can the game be downloaded in advance? You can already download WoW Forever. The size of the download depends on what you have already installed:
- No WoW
- about 52.90 GB
- WoW Classic or Retail
- about 13 GB
How long can names still be reserved? If you have purchased one of the packages for WoW Forever, you can start creating characters and securing desired names before everyone else storms the servers. How that works, you can find out here:
However, there will be a longer maintenance before the start, during which the name reservation will also be taken offline. So you should reserve your desired names beforehand.
Maintenance starts on November 4, 2026, at 7:00 PM CET and lasts until the release at 12:00 AM on November 5.
