The race for the last World First Kill in World of Warcraft: Legion is over. Method secures the victory over mythic Argus.
Exactly one week ago, the last raid of World of Warcraft: Legion opened its doors to professional players. With Antorus, the Burning Throne at the mythic difficulty, 11 bosses had to be defeated, posing significant challenges for raid guilds.
However, this did not go entirely according to Blizzard’s plan. The professional guilds plowed through the first 9 bosses in turbo mode, and after barely 20 hours, the 10th boss, Aggramar, had already fallen.
Only the final boss, Argus the Unmaker, who had completely new phases and abilities in mythic mode, stood against the professionals for longer.
Method claims the World First Kill of Argus
But even the corrupted Titan of the Eredar homeworld had to succumb to its fate and was brought to its knees. As the statistics site wowprogress shows, Method is the first guild to defeat Argus (mythic)!
Sco, one of the co-founders of the guild Method, also expressed his excitement on Twitter about the successful kill. His “11/11 OMG MY HEARTT” already suggests that the First Kill was very close and that only a few players likely stood at the end of the fight.
Method managed to prevail against the competition from Exorus and Limit.
A kill video of Argus on mythic is not yet available. This is usually provided only a few days later, when two or three other guilds have also succeeded in killing Argus.
Antorus, the Burning Throne was the last raid of WoW: Legion. New raids are expected only in the upcoming expansion Battle for Azeroth, which is not expected until the summer of 2018.
Do you think that a week is a solid time for professional guilds? Or should the raids be even harder, so that even the world’s best players struggle with them for weeks?
