The latest patch for World of Warcraft has been live for a few weeks now, but the biggest secret has only just been revealed: Cat lovers are having a long-awaited wish fulfilled.

Patch 6.2 brought a lot of new features. While there had been information about the Tanaan Jungle for a long time and everyone knew about the new raid “Hellfire Citadel”, there was indeed one detail that didn’t even show up in the patch notes. Although it’s just a small, cosmetic change, most cat enthusiasts are beside themselves: When you summon a cat pet, target it, and type /sit (or /sit), the feline friend jumps into its owner’s lap and snuggles there.
After all the bad reviews that the big Patch 6.2 received, one can definitely say (at least from a personal perspective) that this is the best and most lore-appropriate change delivered to us by the update. At least in the forum and on Twitter, this little feature is being celebrated.
