Patch 8.2 of World of Warcraft is packed with content. Among them are many really useful recipes for all professions.
Professions are a constantly debated topic in World of Warcraft. Some players find them useless, while others believe that specific professions offer too great an advantage. However, professions are in constant flux. With Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara, there are a whole bunch of new recipes that make the professions more useful. Many “old” recipes will hardly be usable afterward.
We will show you a few new recipes that will soon gain relevance.
New assortment for Alchemists: Alchemists, in particular, receive a whole bunch of new recipes. Among them are not only better versions of existing potions but also new flasks and even completely new potions. Here are a few examples:
- The “Abyssal Healing Potion” restores a whopping 130,000 health points when used. The current “Coastal Healing Potion” only restores a paltry 34,000 health points. That’s an improvement of nearly 300 %.
- All flasks will receive a “large” version. This is nearly 50 % more effective than the previous flasks. The “Large Flask of Endless Depth” increases intelligence for one hour by 360 – the old version only provides 238 intelligence. The other flasks see a similar improvement.
- New potions include the “Potion of Steadfast Determination”. This temporarily increases the critical strike chance against the current target by 20 %.
Jewelers also receive new content: Jewelers receive the same treatment as Alchemists. They can cut new gemstones that are, on average, 50 % more powerful than the previous ones from the current version.
Where a Reflective Owl’s Eye with +40 haste is currently the best, soon there will be the Reflective Sandspinell, which grants +60 haste – again, an increase of 50 %.
Enchantments with high values: Enchanting specialists receive entirely new enchantments. These occasionally increase a primary attribute by 500 and have an additional effect. This includes increased mana regeneration or a stackable boost to secondary stats (like critical strike rating).
New gear for Blacksmiths, Tailors, and Leatherworkers: The three “armor” professions will each have the opportunity to create gear at level 370, which is suitable as starter equipment for secondary characters or newcomers and can be traded.
Furthermore, these professions receive new recipes to manufacture high-quality equipment with item levels 415, 430, and 445.
It is likely that it will once again require visits to raids, as currently, the resource costs on the PTR are still quite low – it seems there is still a component missing.
Fresh resources in Nazjatar: With the new recipes, there are also new crafting materials that can be found in Nazjatar. This includes new plants, such as Zin’anthid or Osmenite Ore for miners. It is therefore necessary to spend time in the new areas if one wants to use the new recipes.
In principle, it can be said that with Patch 8.2 all professions can produce “more and better.” This includes not only the armor workers but also the other professions such as Alchemy, Jewelcrafting, and Cooking. Professions remain relevant in Patch 8.2 – at least for the top players who want to compete at the highest level.
Also interesting: Have you seen the cool rewards from the reputation factions in Nazjatar yet?
What do you think of the new recipes? Is it cool that there are new potions and flasks? Or is it not a good idea to devalue the old potions?
