While fans continue to wait for the next GTA, a creator is making waves with AI adaptations of the open-world title: He shows how GTA V would look in completely new worlds.

In this case, Grand Theft Auto V is quickly relocated to China, Japan, or Turkey – including:
- Dense traffic with cars and scooters
- Neon-lit streets full of people
- Street markets and narrow alleys
- Coastal roads and modern skyscrapers
The special thing: The scenes shown do not look like classic AI-slop, but sometimes like a next-gen gameplay trailer. Because even a known issue, namely fonts, are displayed correctly.
That it is not original gameplay is of course noticeable. For example, edges are blurred, NPCs do not react adequately, or faces blur during movements.
Who is behind it? According to his own statements, Aillusory’s channel is about the question: How would well-known games look if they were completely rethought? He uses AI tools to visually rebuild existing worlds and create new scenarios.
The channel is still not one of the big ones; individual videos reach at least over 20,000 views. The approach is well-received, especially because he shows Rockstar’s titles like GTA 5, GTA 4, or RDR 2 from a completely different perspective.
Some scenes – especially from the China and Japan versions – evoke memories of the game Sleeping Dogs.
The game from 2012 also focused on an Asian metropolis (Hong Kong) as a backdrop and combined an open world with a dark crime story revolving around undercover work. (TheGNet)
In the meantime, the creator has created five different country versions of GTA 5 alone: South Korea, Japan, Turkey, China, and Australia.

Many viewers especially celebrate the visuals and the creative idea behind the project:

Others think ahead and wish for new locations:

However, there are also critical and humorous voices. Some users doubt the authenticity or make fun of the scenario:
- “The China version is unplayable; mass surveillance is so strict that you would get caught just a minute after a car theft. The creator has no clue about China,” writes Offline65dArt on X.
