Primarchs are literal demigods and significantly stronger than “normal” Space Marines. They descend directly from the Emperor, created by him through his gene-seed. Thus, a perfect role for an actor like Henry Cavill. But which one?
Most Primarchs have been lost for ages or have joined Chaos. Roboute Guilliman (in English: Guillaume) has just recently returned and now even rules over the Imperium.
In fact, he is the gene-father of the Ultramarines, the most law-abiding Space Marines in Warhammer 40,000, which would be an ideal basis for portraying the military order of the Astartes and the Imperium in a positive light.
As Ultramarines are among the most popular figures (and miniatures) in the community, it would make sense to tell a story focusing on them. However, Primarchs – as mentioned – are demigods, which could be problematic for a series, because: There can hardly be any dangerous situations.
Almost nothing can kill a Primarch, and the things that can would be of such colossal scale that they would seem exaggerated even for a Warhammer series. The line between what is still exciting action and what can only be found cynically funny is very thin here.

If Cavill actually plays a Primarch, it might even be more likely for him to play Sanguinius, the father of the Blood Angels. He is regarded as the most charismatic Primarch – and Blood Angels are ultimately Cavill’s favorites.
