A content creator and Twitch streamer for Warframe is frustrated with the annoying burdens of his received gifts and reaches out to the game’s creative director. However, he cannot count on her help.
What exactly is bothering the content creator? Triburos, player and Twitch streamer for Warframe, reached out on X to the former community manager and now creative director of the game, Rebecca Ford.
In a post, he begs her to speed up the animation for accepting gifts or to allow it to be skipped. He even mentions that it would probably only benefit other content creators, but adds: “Do you even know how torturous this is? It hurts so much.”
A statement to which he promptly received a response:
“I make it three times longer so you can think about your privileges and learn to practice gratitude.”
Begging backfires
How are the reactions to this response? The Warframe community celebrates Ford’s answer like a mic drop (a confident gesture). As a content creator who cannot complain about not receiving enough gifts and still describes his situation as “torturous”, the gaming community enjoys the equally cheeky response from the creative director. Because the user states that he still has 159 gifts to open.
“Yes, show him, Mom!”, writes @Termocaos under her post. @PI66I3 also notes: “As someone who has never received anything in Warframe, I really appreciate this response.”
The exchange was also shared on Reddit, where gleeful players already have ideas on how to “improve” the animations in the game, like Thaurlach:
Please enter ‘Accept Gift’ to confirm. Do you really want to accept this gift? Please enter ‘confirm’. Confirm this via the mobile app. Then a 10-second animation.
Rebecca Ford also commented on the end of Destiny 2 and shows through a personal story what the franchise and Bungie have meant for the community: “There is no Warframe without the legacy of Bungie” – Head of the MMO with space ninjas commemorates dying Destiny 2
