A new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been released. It shows some glimpses from the new campaign – and seems to be well received.
This is the trailer: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is approaching, and some new features are already known. A new trailer was released on August 16 and is meant to give players a small insight into the new single-player campaign. The story continues the narrative from Modern Warfare 3 years later.
The game revolves again around Task Force 141 and the protagonists Captain Price, Gab, Ghost, Soap, and the new character Alejandro Vargas.
These characters are also featured in the new trailer. They move through various settings, from helicopter flights over a nighttime city to a covert mission in a compound.
The 30 seconds with scenes from the campaign are accompanied by suspenseful music and slightly audible breathing. It is not much – yet it seems sufficient to excite fans in the comments.
Fans are already excited for the campaign – Can be played earlier
This is what players say: In the comments, many players express their excitement for the new campaign. There is praise for the trailer’s visuals and joy at the return of popular characters.
- “The Modern Warfare story has always been and will always be my favorite to play through, the characters we truly love are involved,” says one user (via YouTube).

However, some also emphasize that one should perhaps be cautious with too much enthusiasm. They remind, for example, of the Battlefield 2042 trailers, which also created a lot of hype – but the game couldn’t keep up.
“Cinematics are always great, gameplay will show us what reality looks like. Nevertheless, I must say that this really raises the hype,” thinks user “Diego Perez” (via YouTube).
Early access to the campaign: The single-player campaign will be playable before the release of Modern Warfare 2. It is set to be available for up to a week in advance in early access. However, one must digitally pre-order the game for this.
