The Steam Deck OLED 512 GB now costs 779 Euros (previously 569 Euros), the 1 TB version costs 919 Euros (previously 679 Euros).
This is a price increase of 35%, with the 512 GB variant even seeing a 37% increase.
In summary: Anyone looking to purchase a Steam Deck now has to plan for over 200 Euros more than just a few days ago.

How does Valve justify the price increase? In the same announcement on Steam, Valve justifies the price increase with a not-so-surprising reason:
Due to increased costs for labor and data storage, we have raised the price for both models accordingly.

The Steam Deck itself has not changed. The new prices reflect the current state of costs for components and other global logistical challenges affecting the entire consumer electronics industry. We will inform you if this situation changes.
