Update from May 27, 2026 – 9:00 AM: Events are unfolding rapidly. In the Polish version of the launcher from CD Projekt RED, an entry for a new DLC for The Witcher 3 has now actually appeared (certainly too early). Relevant images are currently circulating, like here on X:
The name of the DLC appears to be: The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past. The release of the DLC seems to be planned for 2027.
Original announcement for the planned stream: The anniversary stream for the 10th anniversary of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine will take place on May 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The countdown will start at 4:45 PM. Where can you be part of it? Well, on YouTube!
In the video description it says: “Together with Kacper Niepokólczycki and Magdalena Zych, we return once more to the land of knights, vineyards, and vampires! We expect you in Toussaint and in the chat!” Kacper Niepokólczycki is Environment Art Director at CD Projekt RED. Magdalena Zych is Senior Writer and Story Coordinator.
An announcement that raises hopes
How do fans react to the announcement? There have been rumors and hints about a third DLC for The Witcher 3 for a while now. The colleagues at GamePro recently compiled all known information in this overview. It is therefore not surprising that the sudden announcement of a stream for The Witcher 3 now raises corresponding hopes.

- BarryM_89 adds: “Can it really be? A TW3 DLC for 2026? (13 years after the release). This game is so beautiful that I would be totally thrilled if that were the case.”
- There is also discussion on X. I’m a Casual writes, “Is this it? The long-awaited announcement?”
- Chu is sure: “Finally the DLC reveal.”
Why the anticipation? Not to mention that The Witcher 3 is one of the best, most successful, and most popular role-playing games of the past decades, both DLCs Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine were worth every penny.
The author of these lines considers especially the current birthday child, Blood and Wine, to be one of the best expansions ever made available for a game as a download. Toussaint is simply a beautiful region. The story of the DLC is not only captivating but also offers different paths that can be taken, making multiple playthroughs rewarding.
New features such as mutations, a dye system, and the Witcher estate were introduced with it. This had the scope of a full-price role-playing game but the price of a DLC. If the developers should bring The Witcher 3 out of the box for a third DLC again, one can assume that they will not do it for a disappointing quick-shot. Or do you see it differently?

Maybe it will be released next year: The Witcher 4 is set to release next year and will be one of the most expensive games in the world
