On Twitch, streamer and football content creator Simon “GamerBrother” Schildgen reacted to his prediction for the 2nd Bundesliga of the 2024/25 season. As it turned out, he was way off with his assessment. As compensation, he paid his community around 2000 euros, who also had a lot of fun with the expert’s poor tips.
How did the football expert misjudge? Of the 18 placements of all teams at the end of the season, he only predicted 2 teams in the correct position:
- Fortuna Düsseldorf in 6th place
- FC Köln in 1st place
He at least placed other clubs near their actual final standings. However, he grossly misjudged some clubs, including his favorite club FC Schalke 04. GamerBrother’s most drastic misjudgments were as follows:
- SC Paderborn he predicted in 10th place, finished the season in 4th place
- FC Magdeburg he predicted in 13th place, finished the season in 5th place
- Hertha BSC he predicted in 2nd place, finished the season in 11th place
- FC Schalke 04 he predicted in 5th place, finished the season in 14th place
- SV Elversberg he predicted in 17th place, finished the season in 3rd place
Additionally, he was also way off with predictions for individual players. Top scorer Davie Selke from Hamburger SV he labeled in his prediction as the flop transfer. Diego Demme from Hertha BSC, who played an average season with the Berliners, he made in his forecast the star transfer.
His prediction should cost him, like his prediction for the past 2023/24 season, dearly.
Streamer gives away subscriptions for wrong predictions
Why does GamerBrother lose 2000 euros with his prediction? The streamer linked the evaluation of his prediction with a game between him and his viewers. For each messed up tip, he donated up to 25 giveaway Twitch Prime subscriptions to his community. A regular Twitch Prime subscription costs 4.99 euros.
For each correct tip, the streamer reclaimed up to 25 giveaway subscriptions. However, this could hardly save him, as he was correct far too rarely.
At the end of his prediction, there were 400 giveaway Prime subscriptions for his community, worth around 2000 euros. The amount was that high also because he donated over 100 subscriptions at once for his tips on FC Schalke 04 due to personal involvement.

How are the fans reacting to the poor tips? The fans take the football expert’s missteps with humor. For them, the credibility of the tips seems secondary. Rather, they are happy to experience the streamer’s reaction to his bad tips.
This is especially evident in the comments under the reaction to his prediction, which he uploaded separately on YouTube:

GamerBrother himself assessed his prediction very realistically and self-critically. It was the worst prediction he had ever made.
