The MMORPG Erenshor comes without real players. Now it brings its biggest update so far and even lets you raid.
What kind of MMORPG is this? Erenshor is a single-player game that simulates a classic MMORPG in the style of EverQuest. Your fellow players are called SimPlayers: manually programmed AI characters that level up with you, form groups, join guilds, trade, and chat almost like real people.
The world only runs when you play. If you are offline, you miss nothing; there is no crowding around spawns and no toxic fellow players. On Steam, the concept is appreciated. Erenshor holds a 94% positive rating and has been in Early Access since April 2025, maintained by a solo developer.

New Update Brings Raids
What does the update bring? The update “The Planar March” has been live since July 13 and according to the developer on Steam, it is the largest in the history of the game. It elevates Erenshor to version 0.7 and fully focuses on the endgame.
Specifically, it includes four raid zones with a total of 21 bosses, whose mechanics and phases are reminiscent of the classics of the genre. In addition, there are over 120 new items, more than a dozen new skills and spells, as well as a transmog system: Your own cosmetic slots separate the appearance and stats of your gear.
For average players, about 30 to 40 hours of new content are expected; completionists will likely need significantly longer. A fifth and final raid is to follow later, as the last major content expansion before the release of version 1.0.
How do raids work? You will become the raid lead yourself: Through a new interface, you command your SimPlayers through the boss mechanics and can save and load formations. You select your “A-Team” in the guild interface, and it will automatically accompany you in every run.
The bosses require real strategy and preparation, according to the developer, significantly more than the previous dungeons. Nevertheless, Erenshor remains true to its philosophy. The content is designed so that you make visible progress even in short sessions of 15 to 20 minutes.
Erenshor is highly rated on Steam. Have you ever tried the MMORPG for solo players? Feel free to let us know in the comments! You can learn more about Erenshor and the raids here: MMORPG where you are guaranteed to be the best player, now also makes you the best raid lead
