With the upcoming DLC for Elden Ring: Nightreign, there are two new Nightwalkers. One of them has already been introduced. With a new trailer, we now know what the second playable character is capable of.
What is this new class? The new class is the character “Undertaker”. Behind her is a nun in a black and white robe who wields a gigantic mace and strikes hard. With her mace, she is fully geared for melee combat.
The video clearly shows how powerful the nun can strike with her mace. Nevertheless, she does not forget her duties and is seen in the trailer praying in front of an altar.
The name Undertaker recalls the eponymous former professional wrestler. Bandai Namco also can’t resist making a joke about it, writing below the YouTube video that she should be kept out of cage fights.
Undertaker strikes hard
How do players find the new character? Many players share their opinions about the Undertaker on Instagram and YouTube. Especially on Instagram, there are many GIFs with the real Undertaker and iconic scenes from theatrical combat sports.
On YouTube, many say they absolutely want to play the character. One user even says they don’t know what she’s capable of, but still want to play her as their main character.
Many also feel reminded of Sister Friede and welcome her. Sister Friede is a boss in the DLC of Dark Souls 3, who is also based on a nun. However, here the religious lady wields a sickle instead of a mace.
When is the Undertaker coming? The new character is part of the DLC “The Forsaken Hollows” and will be released on December 4, 2025. In addition to the Undertaker, the following content will also be included in the DLC:
- The Scholar as another Nightwalker
- A new “Shifted Earth”, a large cave under Limveld with cursed crystals and ancient ruins
- 2 new bosses
- A new form called “Abominations”
With the DLC, some players will return to Limveld and experience unique runs. However, travelers should not miss certain items.
