In Elden Ring: Nightreign there are random events you may encounter. The Plague of Locusts is one of the more challenging events to solve, but it is worth securing the reward. Everything you need to know about it is here.
What is the Plague of Locusts? The Plague of Locusts is an event that can randomly appear during your runs in Elden Ring: Nightreign. You cannot deliberately trigger this event, but you may encounter it when facing the bosses Maris, Libra, and Heolster.
During this event, you will receive the message “A plague of locusts infests the land” and swarms of insects will appear everywhere, exploding and costing you levels if you do not evade them in time.
How to successfully complete the event, secure the trophy, and what reward awaits you, we have ready for you.
Ending the Plague of Locusts – Here’s how to do it quickly and easily
Losing levels due to exploding swarms is not only annoying but can also ruin a good run within seconds. To end the plague as quickly as possible and minimize risk, you should follow these steps:
- Do not panic and evade the swarms carefully to avoid level losses
- If you are already engaged in a fight, it is better to end it depending on the remaining length of the health bar and look for the source of the plague to stop it
- Observe the swarms and follow them – they will show you the direction in which you will find the boss you need to defeat
- Look out for a huge, glowing moth that also decorates the trophy image (see title image), defeat it, and thus end the outbreak of the plague
A powerful buff and a trophy as a reward
When you complete the event and defeat the moth, the annoying insect swarms disappear. You also regain your lost levels in the form of runes.
You will also receive a powerful buff that gives you a significant bonus in earning more runes through battles. This way, you can level up faster with the buff and significantly increase your chances of reaching the maximum level in this run early.
When you complete the event for the first time, you will also receive the achievement or trophy named “Plague of Locusts”.
In addition to the random events, there are also larger events that appear in Elden Ring: Nightreign and can provide you with various locations and bonuses.
