The Community Day for July 2026 in Pokémon GO has been announced. Here you will encounter a monster that pauses a long tradition for the first time.
Which monster is waiting at the event? The Community Day in July 2026 will feature Sprigatito, the Water starter from Generation 9. It can evolve into Quilava and subsequently into Inteleon.
When does the event take place? The Community Day will occur on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. By the way, there’s also another Community Day waiting for you in June, which will bring you a really strong attacker.
The (premature) end of a tradition
What is special about the event? Sprigatito is currently the last starter monster that is not catchable as Shiny in Pokémon GO. This will change with the Community Day.
Furthermore, Sprigatito is the last starter monster in Pokémon GO to receive a regular Community Day. Until the next generation of Pokémon games for the Switch 2 is released, which is projected to happen next year, there will be no regular Community Days featuring starter monsters in Pokémon GO.
What features are there at the Community Day? As usual, the Community Day will not only bring you a huge number of Sprigatito spawns but also some strong bonuses. These include:
- significantly increased Shiny chance for Sprigatito
- Inteleon can learn the charged attacks Water Cannon (if you evolve it from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM) and Precision Shot
- 1/4 of the usual hatching distance for eggs required
- double the amount of catch candies
- double chance of XL candies when catching monsters (from level 31)
- incense lasts for 3 hours
- lures last for 3 hours and can attract Sprigatito with a special background (from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM)
- snapshot surprises with Sprigatito
- an additional special trade as well as 50% less stardust cost when trading (from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM)
- event field researches
- special research for $1.99 (about €2) with Sprigatito encounters and premium items
