As announced, the beta of World of Warcraft Classic is now live. The first players can already play and experience Azeroth in its original state from many years ago. However, many players are still hoping for beta access, which scammers like to exploit.
This is how you recognize if you are in the beta: Typically, you will be informed by an email from Blizzard that your account is now enabled for the beta of WoW: Classic. Alternatively, you can also check this directly in the launcher.
Simply start your Battle.net software and select the menu entry for World of Warcraft. Click on “Region / Account” and go through the corresponding entries. If there is an entry for “Beta: WoW Classic,” then you can download the game client immediately and start playing!
That’s why WoW: Classic doesn’t appear exactly as it was back then.
By direct invitation only: Blizzard has emphasized that, as in the past, there will be no “keys” as access for the beta of WoW: Classic. If someone offers you such a thing, it is a scam attempt. Access to the beta will only come from Blizzard, by directly enabling your respective Battle.net account.
