Bon Clay (Mr. 2)
Who is he? Bon Clay, whose real name is Bentham, was an officer of the Baroque Works and held the title Mr. 2. He possesses the Clone-Clone Fruit, which allows him to copy the face and body of other people. Despite his past as an enemy of the Straw Hats, he is a loyal and selfless friend who has sacrificed himself multiple times for Luffy.
Bon Clay first meets Monkey D. Luffy and his crew in Alabasta. Initially, he presents himself as a friendly and eccentric character, without the Straw Hats knowing that he is one of their enemies. Later, he fights against Sanji, but loses and ultimately breaks away from the Baroque Works after the fall of Crocodile.
Why is he a loyal ally? Although Bon Clay was originally an enemy, he developed a deep friendship with Luffy. In Alabasta, he helps the Straw Hats escape from the Marine blockade by disguising himself as King Cobra.
Also in Impel Down, he saves Luffy’s life multiple times – he helps him survive Magellan’s deadly poison, and ultimately sacrifices himself to facilitate his escape. Although he remained in Impel Down, he later became the new “Queen” of Newkama Land in Level 5.5 and remains a loyal ally of Luffy.
