Ben Reilly is the clone of Peter Parker and after an identity crisis, he established himself as Scarlet Spider, a separate superhero identity. As a clone, he is neither significantly stronger nor weaker than the normal Peter, but this is where Carnage comes into play.
In 1996, the symbiote bonded with Ben Reilly in the comic The Amazing Spider-Man No. 410. Venom is already a strong upgrade, but Carnage takes it up a notch. Not only is he stronger than Venom, as he is his offspring, but he is also more brutal, ruthless, and does not shy away from death.
