A streamer celebrated his birthday with a huge party, which he also broadcasted on Twitch. However, a confrontation occurred, resulting in 6 injuries and one fatality.

This was the situation: On July 25, 2026, the Twitch streamer NateDeBaiits hosted a birthday party. With over 300 guests, he celebrated at a venue near Morgan Hill in California. The unauthorized event was initially promoted on social media and eventually broadcasted on Twitch.
Reports indicate, however, that a dispute suddenly arose between two groups. An anonymous witness reported to ABC7 News: “We arrived at the party, we were searched, there was security. From then on, the party was good until two groups started arguing. I looked down, I saw someone lying on the ground bleeding. He had a bullet hole in his chest, next to where his heart should be.”
According to the anonymous witness, other party guests tried to stop the bleeding with torn t-shirts. The young man, who has since been identified as Desiderio “Pepper” Romero V, unfortunately, died at the scene. A GoFundMe is currently set up for his survivors. Six other individuals were injured in the shooting.
Reports indicate that gunshots could be heard in the stream as party attendees fled.
Police request recordings
What happens next: An investigation is now underway in the case. Authorities are also reviewing recordings of the event. Videos on social media were helpful, but the Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with additional recordings to come directly to them.
It is said to be a lengthy and complicated investigation. Currently, there are no arrests in the case.

The Twitch channel of NateDeBaiits was temporarily suspended but is now back online. Footage of the incident, however, is no longer available.
This is what the streamer says: NateDeBaiits expressed his shock at the incident. On Instagram, he wrote: “My deepest condolences to his family and everyone who loved him. This doesn’t even feel real. He was my classmate and my friend. It really breaks my heart.” (via Dexerto)
He also explains that he never wanted something like this and the situation got out of control. According to ABC7, the streamer is now receiving death threats and plans to leave the area.
The streamer had a relatively small reach in this case, and little is known about the backgrounds of the act. However, this is not the first time events called by Twitch streamers have gone awry.
