Roadmap for Space Marine 2 explains what to expect in 2024 and 2025
The team behind Space Marine 2 has released a roadmap with planned post-release content in time for the launch (via Steam). The game will receive seasons including season passes, with Season 1 already starting with releases and Season 2 expected to be released between October and the end of 2024.
The season passes include cosmetic rewards as well as “Champion Packs” – thematically grouped skins. Season 2, for instance, will offer skins for the “Dark Angels” chapter of the Space Marines. However, all gameplay-relevant changes will come as a free patch for everyone. Planned for 2024 are:
- new PvE missions
- the “deadly” difficulty level
- one new enemy type as well as the Neo-Volkite pistol as a new weapon
There are no concrete details for 2025 yet; however, the developers have promised a number of contents:
- more missions for the PvE mode as well as a horde mode
- a new PvP mode as well as arenas
- prestige ranks for PvE
- new enemy types and weapons
- an expansion of the battle barge
