Erik “Gronk” Range became popular with Let’s Plays on YouTube and is now one of the biggest streamers on German Twitch. In a recent stream, he showcased his impressive command center, which could compete with some spaceships.
What kind of setup does Gronkh have? In the stream from March 23, 2025, Gronkh casually mentioned that he is surrounded by 8 screens in his “command center.” He feels like he is on board the Enterprise, according to the streamer. However, there is a purpose behind it.
Gronkh explains the role of each of his 8 monitors in streaming
What’s the deal with that? Indeed, each of the screens serves a very specific function for Gronkh. 3 monitors are solely reserved for the stream:
- In front of him is the main screen, where he plays games or watches videos
- To the right of it run the chat, mod chat, and alerts
- Above the main monitor is a preview screen, where Gronkh can track what his viewers are currently seeing
- The broadcasting software OBS has its own screen to the left of the main monitor
- In the corner, there is a rack containing, among other things, 2 small screens for recording Let’s Plays
- To the left of Gronkh is the editing PC in the form of a MacBook, which is connected to another large screen

What else does the streamer need? In front of him, Gronkh has 2 keyboards and 3 Stream Decks lined up. Under the desk is the audio rack with a mixer and 2 PCs. Above the desk is the new rack which is not yet fully set up. Here, if it were up to Gronkh, the streaming PC is supposed to be installed someday.
The whole setup is adorned with countless drink cans, a remnant from the last streaming marathon, and a paper towel to wipe up the spilled cola. You can find a recording of the stream with Gronkh’s explanation on YouTube.
Gronkh can’t say exactly how much all of this cost – it has accumulated over the years. But at least: he does this for a living.
As Gronkh emphasizes, the streaming setup is currently still quite “Wild West.” After moving in, he only set up a table and loaded all the stuff onto it so he could work. However, the streaming room is to be completely converted into a studio – perhaps he can get tips from his Twitch colleague MontanaBlack: MontanaBlack is setting up a classy streaming setup for Twitch – viewers complain about the poor cable management
