What kind of Pokémon are these? In Pokémon GO, there are a number of monsters that can only be caught in specific regions. Outside of special events, you can only obtain these by traveling to the respective region and catching them there or by exchanging with a trainer friend.
On the occasion of the upcoming Sinnoh Tour, you can also encounter a total of 6 regional Pokémon worldwide, all of which can be caught as Shiny with a bit of luck. Three of them can already be caught right now. We will show you everything you need to know about the regional monsters of the Sinnoh Tour below.
Update from February 24: You can encounter Selfe, Vesprit, and Tobutz during the Sinnoh Tour. With a bit of luck, you might even get a Shiny. What you need to know about it has been added in the lower section of the article.
Here’s how to catch Pachirisu, Plaudagei, and Venuflibis now
Which monsters can already be caught? While Plaudagei is usually only found in the southern hemisphere, Venuflibis in the southeast of the USA, and Pachirisu in Alaska, Canada, and northeastern Russia, these three are now in a hurry and can already be found worldwide in the game.
They are hidden behind the event ticket The Road to Sinnoh: Hatching
, which you can purchase for 5.99 euros in the in-game shop. To catch the three monsters, you must then complete the associated timed research. A total of 6 eggs must be hatched.
In addition to 2 encounters with each of the regional Pokémon, you will also receive 4,000 Stardust, a Super Incubator, and a Pikachu mask.
Are the monsters available as Shiny? Yes, all three monsters can be caught in their shiny form with some luck, as first trainers have confirmed on Reddit. User noobwowo shows encounters with Shiny Plaudagei and Shiny Pachirisu in their post.
Does the ticket offer additional benefits? Yes, those who purchase the ticket can benefit not only from the timed research and the corresponding Pokémon encounters but also receive the following bonuses for hatching eggs in the coming days:

Which of the regional monsters are the most worth it? None of the regional Pokémon for the Sinnoh Tour are particularly strong. They are all mainly for collecting. With their Shiny debut, Pachirisu, Plaudagei, and Venuflibis are especially interesting. Schalellos (Eastern Sea) and Pantimimi are native to our region, making them less interesting for players in Europe.
What about Selfe, Vesprit, and Tobutz? The three missing regional monsters from the Sinnoh region, Selfe, Vesprit, and Tobutz, will now also play a role during the Sinnoh Tour.
