A part of the community is currently facing a major issue with ARC Raiders. Twitch streamer shroud even plans to take a break because of this.
Why is shroud complaining? In ARC Raiders, cheaters have become a big problem over the holidays. shroud is therefore frustrated and announced during a livestream that he would take a longer break from the extraction shooter: “This could be my last day playing for a long time. He demands that the situation improves quickly and calls the current state of the game a waste of time. “Embark currently has zero control over the game,” judges the 31-year-old streamer.
Other players, including streamer “Nadeshot”, echo a similar sentiment. He writes on X that the extent of cheaters could currently be worse than in Call of Duty.
No solution, but a Discord bot
This is the studio’s response: On Discord, a user asked if the studio had any plans to address the current issues with cheaters, such as adding the anti-cheat system from The Finals, the studio’s other shooter.
“Birdie,” a community manager from Embark, responded to the player’s question and explained on Discord: “All reports in the game are being reviewed, but this can take some time.” However, he did not disclose whether Embark has further plans in the fight against cheaters.
If one wants to expedite the reporting process, according to Birdie, one can send a message to ScrappyMail on Discord. This is a Discord bot that the team provides for submitting feedback for players. The team can then forward the data to those who can take action against cheaters.
What to do while cheaters wreak havoc? You don’t have many options. If you can’t accept the problem or switch to another game, you could, however, use the aggression-based matchmaking to your advantage. The matchmaking of the shooter ensures that peaceful players are matched in lobbies with other peaceful players.
One could speculate that cheaters focus on aggressive PvP. So it may be that you tend to be spared from cheaters in the more pacifist lobbies – but only as long as you remain peaceful yourself.
