During the Summer Game Fests 2026, Sega showcased the first proper trailer for Alien Isolation 2. Instead of focusing only on a ship, twelve years after the first installment, players are now on a colony planet.
In 2014, Sega released Alien Isolation from developer Creative Assembly. It has long been known that a sequel is in the works. At the Summer Game Fest 2026, they also presented a proper first trailer.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much visible gameplay yet, but this time the Xenomorph seems set to terrorize players not just on a spaceship.
A Larger Hunting Ground
What do we see in the trailer? The first trailer shows not only a seemingly abandoned space station, but also a sort of jungle and a swamp. Apparent gameplay is only briefly shown from the first-person perspective.
Of course, the legendary monster cannot be missing. The classic Xenomorph shows up and immediately displays its drooling mouth. As can be seen, a flamethrower is already in the repertoire, allowing players to at least temporarily defend themselves against the alien.
However, there seem to be other dangers in Alien Isolation 2 as well. At least one seemingly dead body can be seen floating in the air – something a Xenomorph typically cannot do. Whether there will be other humans or creatures is not revealed in the trailer.
At the end of the trailer, the developers explained on stage that this time they find themselves on an unexpected colony world
. The well-known film monster thus has an even larger playground.
