The PlayStation Network (PSN) is currently down. This means many online titles cannot be used and further errors may occur. MeinMMO keeps you updated.
What is the problem? On Allestörungen.de thousands of players are currently reporting problems with the PlayStation Network. At 1:30 PM, more than 6,000 people reported issues, and at the current time, around 4,000 people are still reporting problems.
So far, Sony has not commented on the issues or errors. We will keep you updated if anything changes or if the PlayStation Network is reachable again.

The PlayStation Network is back online. If there are still problems, it’s best to restart your console once, then your PS4 or PS5 will log in again. That can actually work wonders.
We will keep an eye on our ticker and on the reports, should anything happen and will provide an update if necessary. Ideally, you can now go into the evening without any problems and start gaming.

The PlayStation Network seems to be working again! Reports are decreasing significantly and colleagues report that login and the shop are functioning again.

The whole situation is really annoying and players are expressing their frustration on Reddit: People are off work, want to start gaming, and are facing server problems now.
Accordingly, the announcement from Sony a few days ago looked quite unfortunate, that the disc for PlayStation will be discontinued: If the online servers do not work, in the most annoying case, purchased games won’t work either.

Sony/PlayStation has also realized that the servers are not reachable and that there are problems. Because now, the official status page of PlayStation also displays the problems. Sony writes:
