In Pokémon GO there are some damn rare Pokémon – like the legendary Galar birds. The rarity didn’t stop a trainer from collecting all three in their probably perfect form.
What did the trainer catch? A post on the subreddit pokemongo
recently received extreme attention – and rightly so. Because in the post shared by user Tschocksucker
on Reddit, there is a small collection that might even be unique.
The player collected:
- Galar-Articuno, -Zapdos, and -Moltres. That alone is an achievement.
- All three were also Shinies.
- And all three have completely perfect stats – they are all
Shundos
.- However, it should be noted: The stats were not caught as such, but improved using bottle caps. But those are also not so common.
In the comments, players show themselves greatly impressed. Compliments for the collection and the decision to use bottle caps for these Pokémon are given. Some express sheer disbelief at owning these three Pokémon in this form.
But what makes this collection so special?
Why the three Shundo birds are absolutely crazy
Galar-Articuno, -Zapdos, and -Moltres have been catchable in Pokémon GO since 2022. They first appeared about four years ago together with the daily adventure incense.
This item can be used to receive additional spawns for 15 minutes a day. And if you’re very, very, very lucky, the rare legendary birds can also appear.
But there are two problems:
- On one hand, the monsters are brutally rare.
- On the other hand, they are also very hard to catch. They often flee before you can catch them.
So the appearance of a Galar bird is already very unlikely. But that it is also shiny is even less likely. Currently, it is estimated that the shiny birds have a spawn rate of about 1 in 20.
So it takes an insane amount of luck to find the shiny variant. And managing to have perfect stats three times – that seems almost impossible, or at least incredibly unlikely. It’s understandable that the trainer used bottle caps to create a collection that probably doesn’t exist too often in the game – if it is even unique.
